REBIRTH OF AN ISLAND PARADISE
V Raheja Design Constructions approached VGC to develop strategic brand identity and communications for its luxury island resort in Kerala. Keeping in mind both the essence of traditional Kerala as well as luxurious living in the midst of breath-taking view of the backwaters, the Vaamika Island identity was created. Use of earthy colours, serene imagery and rich font captures the old-world charm of traditional Kerala with new-world comforts of contemporary designs.
Vaamika Island is an uber-luxury resort with boutique villas with individual pools, spread across a seven acre private island in the idyllic backwaters of Kochi.
The lotus symbol was derived from the name Vaamika, meaning Goddess Durga, an idol revered across India and especially in Kerala. We created the strategic brand identity for the island resort which was inspired by the rich local heritage and tradition of the island. This thought flowed into the brand positioning, marketing collaterals and a breath-taking website that mirrors the sense of rejuvenation and calm experienced by the guests at the resort.
Through strategic communication and a robust website, the island resort received a boost in holiday bookings and earned the resort rave reviews from guests from all over the world. Vaamika is among the top ranked resorts on tripadvisor.com
