DEVELOPING A WORLD-CLASS BRAND FOR ASIA’S LARGEST SMART CITY
VGC won a tender over two rounds, to develop the brand mandate for Dholera Industrial City. The Smart City, located in the Indian state of Gujarat offers the largest land parcels in Asia, was launched in 2009. While a lot of work and planning had happened with respect to the city, there was virtually no brand for the city.
VGC strategically positioned the city as a hub for innovation and refreshed the logo, giving the city a world-class identity based on their heritage. A colourful brand language with iconography representing various aspects of Dholera was also developed along with an impactful communication campaign across media. Going over and above our scope of work, VGC’s digital marketing team also helped develop and implement a marketing & PR outreach plan for the brand.
