Using the insights mined from our in-depth immersion, we crafted a positioning that not only echoed BITS DES’s vision, but also allowed them to own a bigger promise- to create graduates who are ready to hit the ground running- a promise that, at the end of the day, carried the most importance for recruiters and the industry at large.
We based our logo on Heraldry, the ancient symbol system that we used to craft identities for BITSoM and BITSLAW. The task here was to identify a metaphor that best represents all that BITSDES is and embodies the institution’s spirit.
That is when we arrived at the Metaphor of a Unicorn – a symbol of limitless creativity, imagination, passion, and empathy. With a splash of vibrant colors and a youthful design language, we brought BITS DES alive across all its key brand touchpoints- digital, print, and physial spaces including campus interiors and exteriors.
