In continuation of our long-standing relationship with The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, we were entrusted with the rebranding of their iconic Chinese restaurant, formerly known as The Lantern. The brief was to reimagine the space and its identity to reflect a more elevated, immersive and globally resonant experience, without losing the depth of its Asian culinary roots.
We led the renaming exercise, arriving at Yàn Yǎn (宴眼) — a poetic union of ‘feast’ and ‘eye’ — capturing the philosophy of a dining experience that is as visually indulgent as it is gastronomically refined. The brand identity marries contemporary minimalism with cultural depth, positioning Yàn Yǎn as a modern Chinese and Dim Sum house for the curious, design-forward diner.
From crafting a holistic brand language to developing launch collaterals, and conceptualising the launch event — we built the entire brand experience from the ground up. The launch was marked by a high-profile evening that brought together key influencers, tastemakers and the city’s luxury circuit, celebrating the unveiling of a new chapter in dining at The Ritz-Carlton.
Today, Yàn Yǎn stands not just as a restaurant, but as a destination — one that invites guests to gather, gaze and savour the art of elevated Asian dining.
